I saw the previous post regarding exhaust leaks on some aftermarket systems at the point where the slip-on meets the header. I put high temp silicone in there and stopped the leak there, but there still seems to be exhaust leaking at the seam where the carbon fiber meets the metal part of the slip on. The bike still runs strong and I don't think it's that serious of a problem, but I'm still considering sealing that up too. one of my buddies suggested that carbon buildup in exhaust systems can sometimes seal up super small gaps, but I don't know about that. It seems like the pipes shouldn't leak, period. Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks

if the cans are leaking where the carbon shell meets the metal section, pull 'em apart and repack them. if the exhaust is leaking there, it means the shells will be getting exposed to more heat than they should. over time, they'll discolor and deteriorate.
your local dealer should have repacking kits.
