ok i'm getting paranoid in my old age -

do you guys think adding sliders to a bike that will never be on the track is weenie or geek?

i've got a foggy and it will NOT go on the track - that treat is reserved for bikes more repairably ($) oriented - but after Infoage's troubles i started to think why not get a little protection at the cost of fashion?

do you guys thing they'll look stupid on a bike that won't hit the track? i'm sort of a form-follows-function guy.

opinions are appreciated

I have Cycle-Cat sliders on my Monster Dark and I think they look nice. They seem to fit the lines of the bike IMO. I wouldn't worry about it too much...

if you ride the canyon roads for fun, it's a good investment. you never know what can happen - you may be a good rider but when someone else is an idiot (pick-up carooming into your lane over the double-yellow and you have to ditch the bike) it comes in handy.

Sliders make complete sense on such a nice bike, regardless if it will ever see the track.
