Ciao,
all 7300kms went well, no one single bike related problem,
well, some ladies got too interested....but that is only fan related....because of the bike...

Sorry new members, I left middle july to Arctic Circle from Toscany Italy, and got the pic for it, will be published here later (Member folders) after I get them done.
Now if any body have questions of Monster Touring capability, call me.
Monster 1000Msie now has 15000+ kms and runs great.

Good to be back here on the board,
this is a big thanks to all of you who helped me before the trip. And yes the broken rib got better eventually ,,,,thanks Daffe
it was only in pain when not riding in the wind with the Monster !!!!!!

Re: Skier is back

I admit the day coming back , Stockholm Sweden to Lybeck Germany ( ~ 1000kms ?) the a$$ was a bit sore, but that was cured by beer and new friends.

The stock seat is not bad, or is it in my head ?

Re: Skier is back

Thanks friends ! Grazie !
The heat wawe here is incredible, still going 40C....but still on trip all the gear on, let me tell you those people who go on a autobahn or autostrada one time per year (on their vacation) it is good to be prepared.

Tank bag had cookies and liquids, and every gas break (for me and the bike) I enjoyed them and could not waited to get back on the road....

DucNhar, yes I think I have the pic with the bags on, only tank bag and and a tube, no seat cowl.

Today I had to go for a twisty ride (300km), almost lost my mind cleaning the house from dead bugs after being away for a a month, luckily dead....so a good ride got me back...

Re: Skier is back

Some pics are just downloaded.
Here on the post pics are small, somehow I could not get them to be shown full size....all these pics are at Skier folder here at Member Bikes pic section.
Thanks Webmaster for helping me yesterday !

On a second day it rained about 600kms. Ducati ran great. Speed from 120-140 kmh on autobahn. Some road types are more wet than others. Cement vs asphalt.

Review of the spidi jacket will come out after I talk to Spidi about their 100% issue....

This is the full package I had, light traveller....
No problems with weight introduction. The low cost tupe worked well. 60$ tank bag did ok, 10 magnets and I did use two straps included just to secure it mentally better.
For fueling, I lifted upwards in what position it stayed during fueling, and the just lay it back down. And the pic is from Rauma, Finland, where the very old wooden historical center is kept alive.

Ofcourse I visited some north part of Finland. Reindeers RULES. And it is so peaceful out there....

And during the trip, my refreshing theme was to eat Ice Cream as I have the ICMFH shirt..... anybody ?
The Ducati fans are everywhere, sure I did not have anything to with the fans positioning over my bike like that..... I just like Ice Cream ;D

More pics should come,
ask if you want to know more.. I am happy I had the chance to do this, why not, life is here, we are in it.

Love , peace and movement !
