2. anyone know how long the spring on an S4R shock is?

I've been thinking about that same product. My big concern is the proximity of the shock to the veritcal exhaust header. The material better be pretty heat resistant!

Alot of people here ride without the rear hugger... have yet to see a post about a damaged rear shock as a result. Besides, a shock sock would look pretty gay. Wait, is it a "carbon fiber look" shock sock?
