Made it safe back into SLO last night. [thumbsup]
2600 miles on a 2004 S4R and man is that a fun bike. A much better touring bike then the 620, so nice to be cruising at 80/90 and only having the bike spinning at 5k rpm or so. [cheeky] And accidentally popping wheelies while splitting LA traffic is priceless (yes, I am a total squid ;D).
Just remind me never to take another bike with a stock seat that far again. [laugh]

Dude, that's nuts [clap].

I won't begin to ask how your a$$ felt after 2600 miles.
dork you should have flew out with your seat!

Haha, I had enough trouble getting all my gear out to Indy. Attempting to get my seat to Indy, and then ship his seat back here woulda done me in. [laugh]

Yeah, so people keep telling me.
It's s'ok though. I got to go surfing for the first time to day. I suddenly feel very mellow and have an overwhelming need to say "Dude" as a response to everything. 8)
2 cross country trips in 6 mos? you are Iron Butt [clap] [laugh]
Glad to hear you're close to home and safe. The S4R is a surprisingly decent touring bike! After my Oregon trip (a measly 1400 mile round trip) I was surprised at how well my arse held out on the stock seat >:D Not that I'm going to put hard cases on desmoquattro or anything [laugh]
Your'e jammen [thumbsup]
Annnddd after a couple days of eating turkey and surfing, I'm back up in PA with one intact S4r. [thumbsup]
Dave should be hopping off a plane tonight to take possession of his bike and then tomorrow I'll be taking him out on his first west coast ride.
Anyone game for a slowish ride tomorrow around Pascedero and such?
I'm game for tomorrow....but only around 11ish?
Should be up and recovered by that point (scotch and cigars tonight to celebrate the new job). I'll give you a call at like 10 or so and confirm.

Meeting at my place in PA, riding Page Mill out to Pascedero to the ocean and then back 84 to Alice's sound like a plan to you?

Just keep in mind, it's gonna be a pretty putt putt ride. If Dave is anything like me when I first got here, he'll be in shock for the first couple hours of riding out here. [thumbsup]
Got it, I'll bug ya after nine tomorrow.
Glad to hear that you made it back here in one-piece. [thumbsup]

...oh, and yer a nut. [cheeky]
One piece? Sure, though I really think that now would be a good time to meet a cute female chiropractor/message therapist who'll trade back alignments for romantic, candlelit dinners.

Riiiggghhhttt.

A gimpy boy can dream, can't he? [laugh]
Well they have these places... where one pays $$ and they get a massage and depending on the establishment, it may even come with a happy ending... Cheaper then a gf....

Haha, that could definitely do the "trick" but I think I'll stick with more established means of therapy. Where'd that bottle of whiskey go...?

Thanks man, that was a great short squirt up around Alice's. [thumbsup]
And amazingly enough, I actually cleaned the Brute and Duc last night. Shiny!
