As of right now, there is no full Termi out there. The only full systems I have seen are the ones you mentioned. Neither of them appeal to me so far.So I am waiting. I hope something nice comes out before spring.

Good question. I own an S4 with Leo Vince Ti exhaust, smaller rear sprocket and a couple small mods, like putting holes in the airbox.

I rode the S4R last week - admittdly a new one - and while probably a better bike - was not enough to make me want to spend the extra money. First of all, the new pipes are going to cost you dearly - whatever you buy. The mid-range was better than my S4, but not sure if that was really gearing or the larger engine. Not that much diffrence really. For someone trading in a Monster 900 or 750, well, there is no choice. For now I'm happy with the legendary 916.

If it were me, I'd look around to see if you can find a left-over '02 S4 and use the diffrence in price to buy pipes and accessories. There just isn't enough value in the price diffrence with the S4R and the single-sideed swingarm is no big deal so far as I can concern.

Either way, though, the S4R is not a bad choice. Talke a look at the red/silver-stripe version Ducati-Seattle did. I think it's on theior web page. Very nice and more sttractive than the blue/white version.

Well I just placed an order for a Termignoni slip on performance system today and the grand total is $1495.00 for 2 stacked carbon cans, high flow air filter and new computer for the S4R. I was told that the full system is also available.

The picture is bad ass, I can try to scan in the fax we recieved but it will probably look like hell?

Let me put it this way, I was in the shop yesterday for about 3 hours and he was on the phone the entire time. You can PM me if you would like his phone and shop. The guy has more connections than anyone I have ever met.

Hi Brokenhill (and everyone else),

I'm a soon-to-be proud owner of an S4R as well. I'm putting some $ on one this afternoon. ;D

I'm also in your boat too; about getting any and all feedback about this bike. I'm sure you (Brokenhill) and I will have questions, and I appreciate any and all answers very much. By the surfing that I've been doing on here, it seems all of you are very knowledgable.

In reply to you Brokenhill, I've researched all the pipes I could. I too only see full systems from Arrow and Sil. If you're looking to get rid of that nasty cat, Spareshack.com has a system that replaces the cat with crossovers (i.e. cheaper than full system?) I like the look of the factory cans, and if Strati comes up with a mod to those cans, i'm just going to get that system from Spareshack.

My first question: Where does the "S4R" designation come from?

Looking forward to owning the "Ferrari" of all motorcycles!

http://www.spareshack.com/cgi-bin/browse-nRe: S4R.

Check out the current Ducati Performance catalogue Part Number 96439403B, this is a split system, as per previous Ducati High Mount Systems. Details to confirm this also present at http://www.spareshack.com/cgi-bin/browse-no-frames.cgi?session=28201578&view=group&group=ducs4rexh

Want to get rid of the cow belly (as it has been referred to here?) check out spare shack http://www.spareshack.com/cgi-bin/b...em&item=high-2-2-du96439403b&session=28201578

The ducati catalogue that features this part is the Silecers (Italian Spelling) PDF file on http://www.ducati.com/bikes/accesso...atalogs04/monster&headerImage=header_M_04.gif

I know that they are expensive as hell and only for the most overindulgent (I am sadly part of this group ;)), but the BST CF wheels are real performance enhancers, not subtle at all. They dont look half bad either.

Well, I got some bad news yesterday :'( Looks as if the pipe order is on hold.....It seems that the kit is ready to ship and "available" but they will not start shipping yet?????

Has anyone ever heard of something like this before? I myself think its a great load of horsecrap but I was told it could be a day to 3 months before they "decide" to start shipping?

Here is the link.....

His name is Sebastian and he is without a doubt the best mechanic/owner I have EVER run across in my 13yrs of riding.

I talked with sebastian on tuesday the 16th It seems he told me there was some confusion/mixup and that Termi does NOT have a full system available at this time that he can get the slip on system and it will ship in January
