Hello
I put my bike in storage last night. I rented a new storage area. I traditionally rent a space every winter for what ever bike I have. There is usually a step up leading to the room I rent. It is about the height of a curb. Well I guess it was too high. When riding the bike slowly up the curb, I hit the cow belly on the edge of the curb. It was a light impact, but enough to seperate the pipes directly in front of the belly.

Funny thing is, I thought it could be pressed right back in. But my first attempt at 6am would not budge it. Has anyone removed there S4R pipe yet? And should I be able to pull this apart and put it back? Or was this pressed in at the factory? If it was not the month before Christmas, I would use it as the excuse to get a full system. But I can't spend that kind of cash just to let the bike sit there all winter when my shopping is not even started yet.

it's a press-fit, but definately resealable. i think i posted in another thread but i'd recommend loosenning the header mounts above the cowbelly, and then trying to jig it back into position. you may want to consider fully removing the header to make sure the ring-gasket in that slip-fit is in the correct position, but from the pic you posted, it doesn't look like it could've been jugged loose.

Clean? My bike? That picture was taken the day I picked it up. You can acuse me of a lot of things, but having a clean bike is not one of them.
I am sure this will work out, but with the whole family coming tomorrow and the house a mess, I cannot get over there to fix it. So I am losing my mind over it.
