i plan to ride tomorrow on my newly valved forks. i took the forks off and had all the torque settings except for the bottom axle pinch bolts. anybody out there have the info?

also i set my forks flush with the upper triple. i read one post where some had them about 5mm down on the triple. any suggestions, conformation, etc??

thanks for your help!

This may be a little late....

14 - 15 ft-lb on the pinch bolts, alternate between the 2 at least once, I.E. Tighten one, tighten the other, then retighten the first one.

Service manual has the the top flange side of the fork cap ( where the big hex starts ) at 195.5mm [7.70"] above the top of the lower triple. On my S4, that puts it about 0.08" below the top ot the top triple.

BTW, who did what to your forks, and please tell us what you think after your ride?

mark @ the ducshop did my forks. here's what i think... run and buy the gold valves for your S4! the difference is night and day. no more high speed pogo/chatter. you know how your windscreen on your S4 flops around? after the valves, almost completely still (except for the wind pushing it around). i did ohlins springs and 5wt ohlins fluid.

its a great, great mod! I can tell more difference in the front than putting a ohlins on the rear. now if i could only get me cans from touching mid corner..... :D
