Here's a rundown. I bought my 2002 750 with cut cans and personally I think they're a little too loud and a little too stubby. So I've been thinking about replacing the exhausts. Then I thought, maybe I'll get a high mount so I can get better cornering clearance. And then... after some shopping around, I realized that stock exhausts off of S2R/S4R's are cheap as nuts and probably not as loud as aftermarket high mounts.
So here's the question: All in, would it be better just to go straight for aftermarket cans (if I can find some slightly quieter ones) or try to refit an S2R system? Cost is an issue since aftermarket cans are starting at about $500. Would mounting S2R cans and having the welding/cutting done be more expensive than that?
