Have been gradually doing cafe mods to my 2007 S2R1K, and instrument cluster was a frustration as the Sport 1000 cluster is about $800, plus extra fee for reprogramming.

So, went DIY. Had to source parts from Poland, though, as I couldn't find US source.

Ordered a faceplate from Venoxy (they can do MPH if you specify) Ducati Monster Sport Classic KM/H Instrument Cluster White Gauge Faces | eBay

Then, ordered aluminum rings from didotuning: DUCATI MONSTER 695 Chrome Cluster Gauge Dashboard Rings Speedo Trim 2pcs | eBay

Painted the needles, and used a headlight restoration kit to clean haze from the lenses. All in all a couple of hours of simple labor an a cost of less than $100 to recreate Sport 1000 cluster.

I like it! How hard is to to dissemble the cluster? Do the rings glue on?
It's not very difficult. Take out the screws and gently pry it open - there are plastic tabs inside that you need to finesse to get the cover off. I used a headlight refinishing kit to clean up the lenses. Twist and pull the needles to get them off. I attached the rings with silicone adhesive.
