So I just changed spark plugs for the first time in my life. You can get in line and feel by biceps in turn. So when I took the old ones out they were very black-running rich if I'm not mistaken. So if my bike is running rich how did this happen and is my bike still "broken"? Do I need to do any thing? Again, with new spark plugs it feels like I have a new bike!

Cheers,

What bike again (carbs or FI)?

How many miles were there on the old plugs, any idea?

Few = rich

Lots = maybe not so bad

Several ways to 'become' (or appear to be) rich - need more info.

Suggest you run these plugs for a few thousand miles (or as many as you can before performance craps out) and see if/how black the electrodes become, then deal with it according to the sympoms, if necessary.
