Sweet! A much better looking ride than the Husky,... I know I haven't been on in a while, but a few updates... I sold the Yamaha and picked up an 07 S2r1k ! Maybe happy hour next week she'll show her face. I'm looking forward to meeting you all!
I was going to post a ride but its still to cold over here.. not going to get above 45 and 20% + humidity. Not sure what the sand factor is in the hills and didnt have any input to where around town might be fun to go. So Im gonna eat and go back to bed for a while and if its any better it might be time for a solo run. You want me to call ya? We could do a recon mission and report back with sand factor. Of course Its gonna snow again soon so I dunno if it would matter.
I wish I had read this before I went out. Just a short ride to get in the saddle again. Slushy assed sand box in the animal creeks and Lookout. Be careful on that new piece of shiny. ;D
I'll call next time.
I just went toolin' around the city to get used to the vibrations.
Almost slammed into the back of a Pathfinder or some such SUV after it panic stopped from some idiot pulling out from a left hand side driveway, all the way into the right hand lane. Brakes work pretty well.
Then I hopped on the monster for a bit to do a bit of a comparo. Woah, that's different. Smooth as glass, pegs are waaay back, felt really low to the ground and pressed into the tank, and throttle is slower to respond. The FCR on the KTM is nuts. The KTM seems manic compared to the monster, definitely will get one into more trouble. It just makes you want to run over and through things.
