Anyone put one of these on their monster? It seems like it doesn't sit deep enough in the recess of the tank and the runner bushing the instructions say to keep seems to be in the way..

Radracer:

I installed it in mine, and it sits fine. Had to put a little pressure in order to tighten the screws the first time but it's ok to have a good seal.

The rubber bushing creates a seal between the fixed part of the cap and the gas tank, so you don't have any leaks. I just used the one provided in the Rizoma box and made a good seal, I wouldn't remove it since there is no other seal between the tank and the cap.

The link shows another type of cap for a Yamaha bike, but I think I get what you're talking about. There is a small rubber seal that goes below the tank fill hole. It needs to be aligned with a mark inside the cap since there is a small vent channel that goes through that rubber seal. I left it there and aliggned the cap with it.

Just checking, the part number you're using is TF041? (the A or B on the end is for the color)

Unrelated in some ways but do you guys have problems with the gas cap key? I wondering if it will smack around and make noise on my keychain since it is metal.

Yes that's it. So the vent in the rizoma cover squished that rubber piece a bit. It seems like the rubber vent in the bike sticks out too high to me.

No probs w the key

Did u find a solution? Installed mine a few days ago and noticed there was a gap, it didn't seal the hole like the original gas cap.
