A shorter trip might be a little better for me. I wouldn't mind a two to three hour trip to Wisconsin somewhere.

A little too uncomfortable to ride on the Ducati for four and half hours in one day not to mention about nine if we come back the same day.

Maybe some MN riders could meet us 2 or 3 hours from Chicago in WI somewhere. That would be close to half way for both groups. The Twin Cities are about a 6.5 to 7 hour haul from here.

Wisconsin Dells or near Devils Lake is about a 2 - 2.5 hour ride from Chicago. Which is about the same for them too. Nice roads up there too.

From where we live probably 3 hours, from my old place 2.5 hrs. I tend to have a lead foot and lead wrist when riding long distances. I went from Palatine to U of I in roughly two hours once, I then went from U of I to ISU in 30.. good time.
"Ho Chunk" would be the name of the casino.

I'd be up for that - forsure. Madison is about 25 miles south of the Dells. I know there is fantastic riding around Devils Lake.

Madison is about 3.5 hours from Minneapolis by cage. By bike it would be a little more. We would have to make this a two day event for it to make sense for me. There is some good riding in southern WI, we just need to dig in and plan some routes and a place to stay.

Kid,

Could you provide some recommendations on good twisty roads to make up a couple of hours of riding in the middle of WI?

Also, lunch spots and campgrounds would be "good to know" information. Sounds like a lot but you offered!

Might be heading in your direction this weekend. It's either iowa or Wisconsin. Kid, I'll be sure to contact you on Friday to let you know.
