Hi all,

Does anyone know the condition of Redwood Rd at the moment? I know they resurfaced and it was covered in gravel. Just wondering if its rideable again?

It hasn't been mentioned lately on BARF, so it should be in reasonable condition. I consider all roads ridable as long as it's been at least a week since fresh gravel was put down. You might have to be a bit more careful on the corners, but normal traffic generally clears a good path you can follow.

Just go ride the road and report back.

Its ridable without to much worry. I was just on it a few days ago, in both directions. There are some loose pebbles in the center between lanes and on the edges, but the grip is still pretty ok. Judging by the pebbles my front tire was throwing up (no front fender) id say its almost back to normal.

One thing to watch out for - it looks like there was a head-on accident about half way through. And someone either tried to push one of the cars down the hill or tow it, and they dropped alot of oil down the north bound lane.. its obvious when you come up to it, so just stay on your toes.

Oh ya, the last two times ive gone down the road in the direction of hayward->berkeley ive seen cop cars coming the other direction...... coincidence?
