Is it possible to put a cowl that doesn't come with a Dark on a Dark?

I want those bad ass Duc Corse racing stripes. There's one for the front fender, gas tank and the rear seat thing...I don't have one of those rear seat things!

Who makes them? Will they fit on a Dark?

I too am looking for a seat cowl for a dark. The ones I have seen on ebay don't have any mounting hardware. What exactly do I need to mount the seat cowl to my 2001 dark?

A few weeks ago, someone posted all the paint codes that Ducati uses. It might be more worth it to find the dark paint code and buy a used cowl and repaint it. Just my $.02

I have also used Plasti-Kote auto touch up paint, color #7179 with a coat of Krylon matte clear over it . It is a dead match for my Dark.

i second stuart @ spareshack. thats where i got my dark cowl for my M800. just tell him to double check the bolts, cuz he sent me the wrong ones and i had to play guess and check with different sizes i bought at Lowes.
