Took mine off within the first week of buying the bike. Put it in my 'mod box' which is getting larger and larger! I've never had a problem running without it. Little extra cleaning back there though.

I've been running without one for the past month... decided to trim the hugger down with a dremel and some sandpaper and put it back on. Not sure which I prefer yet...

I purchased a rear hugger from feathercarbon, (relatives of Armadillo) and had to wait 40 days. He then shipped me the incorrect one. I am waiting because they are the nicest CF products you can get. Look at strati's hugger! Really nice. Might want to snail mail a pic of the one you want, though.

Speaking of dremel's and melting plastic - is there a better "attachment" then the standard cutoff disks (that tend to snap/shatter and send hot spinning pieces across the garage) to cut plastic? I was disappointed at the job it did on the licenseplate holder. I had lots of cleanup work to do.
