Does it really matter the type of brake pads for the rear (i.e. Sintered vs Ferodo Platinum) since I have twin rotors up front? I do use the rear at all times but I believe it's more of a "3rd wheel" than a primary.

Whaddaya think?

the typical ducati rear brake is so ineffective it probably doesn't matter.
but maybe a good set of pads would help?

I never use the rear brake anyway. (the exception would be the occasional off road excursion)

That's what I've always heard but I wasn't sure if I should spring for the higer spec rear pads to try them out. It's a matter of habit to use both front and rear for me. I'm springing for the higer spec. The I can offer testimony.

I wana say I have EBC RED on my rear. I only use it realy to hold at a light and to calm the bike down when braking. It's a riding tool, not a brake [laugh]

Personally I always use the rear. There were times when I tried using only the front and it always made me feel insecure.
