The rear brake on my 01 900 with 12500 miles on it started dragging and heated up to the point where the wheel locked up. I had to remove the caliper to get home.

So what do you think? Caliper rebuild time?? Replace fluid time?????

might just need a good cleaning.
the pistons can get gunked up so they dont withdraw properly.
try that first since its the cheapest

Good chance it is a bad hose. A bad hose acts like a check valve...the master cylinder forces the fluid past an obstruction in the hose, but it can't return when you let off. Blowing through the hose after it is removed should tell if it is at fault.
