Are you having any performance / running issues now? If not then I'd recommend leaving it alone. If you just want to mess around and see what happens go ahead. The worst that can happen is the MIL lamp will come on and it might run a bit worse but nothing that couldn't be corrected by simply reconnecting it. The dealer might have to reset the light for you and you could get a scolding but .......
