I have been looking at getting a 2-piece Vanson suit for riding(TEPS pants and CSR2 jacket) . I have got the jacket sizing perfect but the pants have left me puzzled. I tried on a 35" waist and they were nowhere near fitting ( I wear 36" in pants), they were WAY too tight. I measured my waist w/ a tape measure and I got 38". I figured going up 2 sizes from my normal pants size seemed to be the right guess and if I wanted room for unplanned future expansion a 39" waist might be the way to go.

I received the pants and after trying them on they seem a little loose. Keep im mind that these are my first technical ridin pants, I am going from chaps to these so consider me new at this. I need to put the waist adjustment side straps at the 1/2 way point and they still aren't snug. As the leather gives, I fear I will run out of adjustment. When zipped to the jacket and sitting on the bike, they seem to be better fitting and I get pretty decent movement. I am wondering how loose the leather in the upper thigh and leg should be when not on the bike and how much I should count on it stretching over time. Also, there is of course some give to the synthetic material in the inner thigh and crotch that will give as I move on the bike. How do I apply some logic and reason to the too tight/too loose scenario? What should be my determining factors on if I chose the right size?

I did a lot of research on similar links to the ones you posted and that is how I ended up w/ the size I got. I am just trying to get a feel for what others input was on how there Vanson TEPS pants fit. You always hear people post at how long it took to break in there tight leather pants. I am not experiencing and tightness, they actually fit quite well. The leather seems stiff but that will break in over time. I can move around on the bike quite well w/o restriction.
