I was wondering what all is included in the kit. Is it just brackets or does it include some machined stuff like plugs for the frame.

2 "box" shaped brackets that mount to the frame under the seat - these hold the indicators also
1 license plate holder that mounts between the tail light and aformentioned brackets
all the screws, bolts, washers needed and 2 plastic "plugs"

the directions are a bit odd and would greatly benefit from pictures or diagrams, but once you get into it things fall into place.

I ended up needing to fabricate different mounts for my indicators. My seat cowl hit them using the pro italia setup....plus, there is no consideration for the license plate light. Not too big a deal since the tail light sits right above it, but if you run into a picky cop...?

parts are steel and nicely finished.

for the $90, i was expecting no additional mods, but thats the way of the walk. If you have access to the right tools, you could fabricate something VERY similar out of aluminium but I think with time and materials spent, might be a wash?

hope this helps

I am thinking of just making my own. Where should I cut my frame. I was thinking just a tad past the seat lock. That sound about right?

Have to admit kind of freaked about cutting my frame

check out the "tailsection hack" section on my web-site for some pics and ideas. the '01 monster s4's tail's pretty much the same as your '03's so it should apply well.

k cool going there now. I noticed the wires to my lights run thru my fendor. Did you cut the plastic fender since you were getting rid of it anyway or disconnect the wire from the light.

i was also thinkin about getting this kit, but i couldn't find any real detailed photos of it. do the frame ends stick out like some chops i've seen, or are they somehow hidden behind the license plate or other device? is it a pretty concealed thing, or do the brackets and frame remain exposed to the side or back view?

thanks.

Here's what it looks like finished. I really like the way the LP signals fit snug to the cowl.

Finished it! Well almost. Have my plate light just hanging. I never really thought about the plate light. I don't usually see it in other pics so do most of you guys remove it?
