Kelley's Blue book says market price is $6365

At least here in SF, anyway.

Even with the break-in maintenance due (and possible timing belt replacement) in another few hundred miles, which will mean a few hundred bucks out of your pocket, I'd say that's a fair price.

I'd want to know why it's 5 years old and only has 100 miles on it. What could have happened in that 100 miles that made them park it for 5 years and then ask a slightly low price when selling it?

Or it could have been someone that really didn't know how to ride and was planning on learning... but never really did.

Scary how often this happens.

Then again, if the person doesn't wad the bike it makes for great bargains later! [thumbsup]

As always, with something so pricey & mechanical, see if the seller won't let you put down a deposit with an intent to buy and then let you take it to a local shop for a quick lookover. With the understanding that if any major problems are found the deal is off. This is especially true if the bike hasn't been to a shop lately (or in this case, EVER!)
