I went to the dealership today and they had a New 2002 Ducati Monster 750ie for sale. The bike had 19 miles on it and was never registered. They wanted $7001 for it out the door. I tried to talk them down, but they will not move. Need to know what do you guys believe I should pay for it. I want to make sure that I am not paying to much for this bike. Any inputs would be appreciated. Thank you

I was at a Ducati dealer yesterday and they had a 02 750Sie with no miles on it. However it was just sold. I asked what was the selling price and the salemen said $7200 plus $500 shipping/setup. So $7001 sounds like a great deal out the door. However you didn't mention if it was an S version. Also I just checked the NADA on the 02 750ie and average retail is $6055 on the ie and $6205 on the Sie. However keep in mind that your's would be new with a full warrentee.

Hope this helps.

You ought to look at a 620 instead of the 750. The 620's power is in the same ballpark as the 750 and you could get one much cheaper. You could find a 2003 Dark for under $6000. Why pay more just because is a 750? You won't be getting any more performance than the 620.

i picked up a mint used 02 750 dark last weekend for 5500 with 1800 miles on it. i also got a quote of 6850 (out the door) for an new S from a dealer ... but that price was with trading in my old bike (01 gs500) for about 1800...

good luck!

I bought my 2002 750Sie for $7300 out the door. This was last year, so that sounds like a good deal, Happy Hunting!!

I bought a new 2002 750 Dark in July 03 for $7200 so $7000 sounds ok to me. The 2002 750 is rated at [email protected] and the 620 at [email protected] That's almost 7% more. The bigger difference is in the torque. The max torque is [email protected] for the 750 and only [email protected] for the 620. That is 17% more torque for the 750. In any event, $7000 sounds good to me.
