It's a good thing I always do I pre-ride check before I take my Monster out for a spin, because it came in handy yesterday.

Looks like I had run over a black plastic trash bag on my last ride, because I had bits of plastic stuck all throughout my chain. I spent over a good hour picking out the pieces with a set of tweezers. Some of the plastic even melted to the bottom of my exhaust.

While I did get most of the plastic pieces out, there are a few slivers still in the chain that are wedges in pretty good. Should I do anything further, like take it to a shop and have them work on it, or will it be okay? I took it for a short ride after cleaning it and it seemed to run okay.

I wouldn't worry about it as long as the chunks aren't real big. They'll either just melt out of the way or be purged by the movement of the chain links, either way, it shouldn't be a problem...

I agree, the chain & sprockets will deal with whatever is left.
