FOUNTAIN (AP) - A broker says the owner of the Pikes Peak International Raceway in Fountain has found a buyer.
Stew Mosko of Fuller and Company brokered the deal for track owner International Speedway Corporation. He says the undisclosed buyer may turn the track it into a private membership track.
He says financial terms of the deal won't be disclosed until it closes early next year.
Mosko says the new owner would add a golf course and residential development.
International Speedway bought the track in 2005 for $11 million and shut it down to eliminate the possibility of competing with a track it plans to build near Denver.
Terms of the most recent sale included a prohibition on using the track for large-scale, ticketed racing events.
