cool! i'll PM ya my address so you know where to have it delivered [thumbsup]
Sweet [thumbsup]

Will you let those of us who don't have permisson ride it [laugh]

I wonder what you first mod will be ???
i've been eyeing it, but i'm torn. Since mags is gonna feminize the 800, do i really want to be without a monster (probably not). Besides the embarassment of riding a pink bike, theres the fact that it'll be setup for her. The big con is that I don't want a liter superbike, I'm more interested in the middleweights (less room for machismo induced madness). Maybe I'll just do the s2r1k or HM like i've been planning to, and pick up a 749 when the prices drop.
Rockin'! [thumbsup]

Surprised that no SoCal-er has stepped up to the S4Rs...sqweak, here's your opportunity. :)

Again with the torn part. ;D I really like the S4R Testastretta's color scheme, but at 13 i might as well drop the 2k for the RS and get full ohlins and CF. All that said, I still am not a fan of the liquid cooled monsters and think that it's way more than I need. one day i'll make up my mind... [laugh]

Lots of favorable commentary on the HM 1100:

Other than the 11.5 liter gas tank... :'(

S2R1k has the same color availabilities as the S4Rt (?...ducati.com site isn't playing nicely right now)

yeah, where the hell do they think you're gonna go w/ only 3 gallons?

For most of our SoCal rides, that would be no problem, as we seldom go more than 80 miles between gas stops.
But it does make any long rides a real PITA.
The price you pay for that slim SM styling... :-\

s4rt (not the topend s4rs) only comes in this beautiful scheme:
titanium grey w/black stripe/red/black

s2r1k is available in (tank+fairing/frame/wheels):
Red w/white stripe/Red/White

Silver w/black stripe/Black/Black

Black w/white stripe/Black/Black
nopic

I've thought aout asking to get the plastics swapped but since that would require 3 bikes total to swap parts (black s2r1k wheels from silver or black bike, red frame from red bike, plastics from s4rt. unless the wheels could be swapped from a s4rt directly onto a red s2r1k frame?) and i don't think any of our local dealers are nice enough to do that for me. ::)

Or... just get 'em to swap the ti grey bodywork onto a red S2R1k, and get the white wheels painted/powdercoated black.

You could probably get 'em to swap the bodywork...but the S4Rt tank may not fit the S2R1k...
