Performance gains from Slip-ons???

I am looking at getting a set of the oval short MIVV slip-ons for my S4. Should I expect any kind of change in performance or is this going to solely be an upgrade in the sound of the bike?

Can't speak to the S4, but when I installed slip-on's, I felt an immediate seat-of-the-pants-gauged thrust gain. I can't verify if it increased peak power or not, but I'm pretty confident that it filled in some "holes" in the power band. Off the line, the bike immediately felt stronger.

I saw somewhere where Termi slip-ons made a tiny difference--but cutting the airbox top off made the biggest single difference when looking at "total kit" gains on an S4.

By the way, just got my S4 tuned withe a Power Commander on TOP the the DP ECu+Termi's+spaghetti header+airbox. Gained 2 HP up top--to 110 RWHP; and 4-5 HP in various RPM ranges, most notably in the 3500-45-- range--a good place for more power throttling on out corners, etc.

That was just your mind psychologically compensating for the $600+ you just spent. [laugh]

Seriously, just slip ons don't add any appreciable performance to the bike.
