Well, after crashing (high side...), I'm getting to upgrade parts earlier than originally anticipated. Please give advice on my choices, the plan is to do it once, do it right:

  • Bent stock handlebars --> Cycle Cat Clipons
  • Replace CRG Mirror (RH Side)
  • Partially destroyed stock Brake M/C --> Brembo Radial "GP" 19x18
  • Replace RH CycleCat Frame Slider, current one is "mangled"
  • Tank to Speedzone Paint for repair, stock Ducati Red, adding a white stripe down center, 60-70's era Logo on side
  • Similarly repair/paint front windscreen and seat cowl
  • Bent Exhaust Pipe RH Side --> Replace system with Quat-D Ex Box
  • Open Air box + K&N Filter to accompany exhaust
  • DynoJet Stage II to accommodate intake & exhaust modifications

I think one of the only things I'm missing would be the matching Clutch Radial M/C & Billet Top Triple, but due to money constraints that's going to have to wait...

Any thoughts?

I'm looking for suggestions as the rebuild will begin in the next week.

Broken parts include:
everything your right hand might touch on the handlebar
right hand muffler
front headlight fairing
tank has a nice baseball-esque "strawberry" from the road
seat cowl

Any thoughts?

From what I've read, most people here prefer the Factory Pro Jet Kit

Sorry to hear about your high-side.
Just had my first low-side on Sunday. Good luck on rebuilding your bike!

Thanks fellas,

I have learned that is never too hot to wear a jacket first hand. Had read it before but it never sank in.

Luckily, when looking at replacement parts, a good number of performance parts or dress up parts are cheaper than the stock pieces.

Some, of course, are not and thus are just because of the "Do It Once, Do It Right" mentallity I have.

I see you plan on using the Quat Ds, but I have a brand new full exhaust for an S4Rs, if you need it.
