Anyone know if the RoadRacing Oil Temp gauge works for carb'd Monsters?

I believe it is optioned for later models.

Its the one that sits where the handle bar clamps were on the upper triple, once you have gone to clip-ons.

On the kit I received the mounting clamp fits fine but the electrical connectors are all wrong to plug 'n play on my carbed '99. I plan to just chop the loom and wire it up myself.

*EDIT* I found the loom connector I needed for the RR oil gauge kit hidden directly underneath the voltage regulator. Its now installed and fits perfectly. Completely plug n' play with no cutting. The instructions don't show jack sh1t and are written in italian with someones additional pencil scrawlings in french(!) on mine but no excuses, I'm an idiot. ::)

If the looms are different between 900/750 bikes that would make sense why mine doesn't plug-in. The main wiring connector is half inch too wide for the matching connector on my 750. Everything else that comes with the kit fits OK.

Around here I only worry about the oil being too cold. I didn't block off the cooler this winter like I have before, but I was riding the KLR most of the time.

sold the last one today...if there is enough demand i can get more.

Damn I hope the one you sold was my order!!!!, I Paypal'd yesterday

I decided to go with the DML filler cap version as my dealer couldn't tell me if the RoadRacing set up came in several versions or what...maybe I'll stick a Rizoma clock over the old riser mount mess

ok ok I'll get more.

It might take a little while. Pieter sent them from Holland.

It's kinda cool getting stuff in the DML store nobody else sells.

Evoluzione has a tee fitting that plugs into the stock dummy light plug and runs another outlet for the gauge and the dummy light. Part# 50103. Great stuff and cheap $20.00!!

Let me know whan you get more or start taking back-orders! My project bike seams to always run hot and it would be nice to be able to monitor it a little better! :)

Right above the oil fill on air cooled monsters, it's screwed into the case.

Does anybody know how to contac Pieter directly, I couldn't find him in the members list. If he gets the gauge from Holland, I would like to know how to order "direct".

Order more! For $70, it is a no brainer!
I will take one for sure. I am sure I can get about 2-3 of my 6 Duc riding buddies to buy also.
