I just started the 2000 m900 after being idle for about 5 days of cold rain. The stinking oil pressure light stayed on but there was obviously the proper amount of oil in the sight glass. Also, the level in the glass went down with the engine "ON" indicating the oil was being pumped to the engine.

It wasn't terribly cold (55 f) but it was humid and wet. The last time she had been riden was in the rain. Does the light sometimes malfunction??? Could the cold and rain cause an the light to short?

Anyone??? I don't want to ride her with the "devil light" on!!

dry the connection with a hair drier, then pack with dielectric grease. don't ride the bike untill the problem is solved just in case the oil pressure is low.
