Well I am perplexed. My oil pressure light has come on but oil level is fine. This happened after a day of riding in the country, and a wash afterwards. Has anyone had this happen before and if so what is it. Could it be a sensor?

Several folks here have had flaky oil temp readings, no neutral lights, etc. after washing their bikes.

Try disconnecting the plug, blowing the water out of both ends (the wire and the sensor), and reconnecting.

It's the wire connected to the fitting above and to the rear of the oil filler.

Of course, if you washed it yesterday, it may be dry by now.....

totally over looked that.... it could be wire in the connectors.. I washed my bike yesterday and this morning my 'neutral' light was glowing when in gear....

I have the Evoluzine kick-stand bypass thingie.. I opened up the connectors for the bypass wire and there was about 8 gallons of water in there!!

That was this morning after I got to work... now, I'm going to see if it's still glowing (have yet to reconnect the plugs and run the bike..)

It could be just water in some connectors.... let's hope that's what it is.
