My poor girl has an oil leak.....I noticed the oil level was low, so we filled thinking it is just normal usage... we run full syn and we heard it burns more than regular oil... any one else hear this??
but anyway... it is leaking ever so slightly( not even enough to drip onto the floor) from the oil filter.
we think it is the crush washer that we failed to replace at the last oil change!???
Also I'm getting a slight oil film on the outside of the sight window on the LEFT side of the bike.. What is this window??Doesn't this window look into the clutch mechanism??
And just another question , can you lube you chain too often that it would hurt anything?

the left side window is for timing. it shows the marks on the flywheel. if you only see some mist and it's not on warranty, i wouldn't worry about it.

synthetic oil, depending on type, can be more prone to leaking and sometimes burning on hi mileage engines. it shouln't be a problem in your case.

too often is O.K. too much is bad. wipe off excess lube.

We seem to have a similar problem....oil leaking from around the filter....just a bit, not enough to do more than just coat your fingers...???????? What gives? Hmmmmmm
