Hey all, I know I could look it up, but I figure that with the brains on this board, about 50 people know it off the top of their heads.

My friend sold his 996 and has an oil filter left over, I've heard that Ducati's all use the same oil filter, but I thought I'd better check, his oil filter # 4444 00 34A, will that fit mine?

AFAIK, all remotely recent vintage Ducatis take the same oil filter.

All recent Ducatis take the same oil filter. That's why I found it so annoying to visit one of the local Ducati dealers and have them look it up in a parts book. That was a hint that they're not true Ducati people.
