Other then OEM and Perform filters, what other options are there. Are there any car filters that will fit the Duc or any Jap bike filters? Anyone try those reusable Scott filters (seems that cleaning them would be a pretty messy process).

Thx
Mark

Hi man, If you want to put sheeper oil fliters on your ducati, you'll have to get a special part. Because I'm not so good in english, I will say it in french: C'est une pi

drdesmo.com used to sell a adapter to allow other filters to be mounted on ducs, k&n has one, and scott's sells a reusable one if you like to spend money on that sort of stuff... but really the perform or the oem for that matter can be picked up in bulk for about $8 a pop. hard to beat.

We have OEM filters online:

Log on as a DML member and buy them in bulk. Get them as low as $7.65.

While you are at it get a better drain plug that does not strip:

and a billet filter wrench:

The nearest dealer to me is 45 minutes away and not reputable at all. The reputable dealer is almost 2 hours away. So I bought my filters from MotoWheels (forgot to put DML in the subject line) along with the drain plug. If I didn't already have a motorcycle specific oil filter wrench then I'd have bought theirs as well.

I can't say enough about the oil drain plug. Very high quality and well worth it. Comes with an o-ring so you no longer have to buy crush washers and the 19mm hex head makes it so much easier to remove. Mine was stripped and I ended up removing it with a pair of vise-grips.

So, if you want to stick with OEM go mail order. It's so easy.
