So I am new to the monster I just bought a 98 monster 900 and it has already been down for about two weeks. I know the clutch slave cylinder is bad and my new one gets here tomorrow but what I dont know is the pin behind "i guess the clutch" wont move in, i can push as hard as i can and it wont budge. should i be able to move it or is this why my slave cylinder went out?

That rod engages the clutch. So you're pushing against the tension of the pressure plate springs. She's not going to budge by hand.
