From what I can tell, the 8E is the stock plug and the 7E is a hotter plug. If the plug runs hotter, does this mean the insulater is shorter and retains more heat in the tip? How would that do for a bike that is running a little rich?? Sometimes I can't find 8E plugs at "non-Ducati" shops or auto stores when I REALLY need them. So that's when I thought about the 7E plugs since most jap bike shops have that plug in stock. Not that I plan on running these plugs all the time, but if I have fouled out a set of plugs or was tinkering with the choke too much. ???
