I am either going to put Pirelli Diablos Corsa, or Metzler Z1's on. Anyone had experiance with either.
I ride moderate to fast on open roads, no commuting, avoid wet weather and do the rare track day where everyone passes me,

first off Vin, you are using "TYRES"- that is your first problem. You need "TIRES". I bet if you switch over you will no longer be passed at track day. Those crazy Europeans trying to change the English language! What will they think of next- probably another name for French Fries and a whole new system for measuring distance and speed. :

My Monster came with Pirelli Dragon "Evos". I managed to pick up a nail with my rear tire at about 600 miles, so I needed to replace it. I opted for the newer Pirelli "Diablo" and I like it a lot.

To-date, I've put about 2500 miles of spirited riding on the Diablo and it's holding up well. I find it to be more predictable than the Dragon. Then again, I'm getting much more comfortable with the bike...

Has anyone ever used Avon tires. I got a pair AV35 and AV36 from a friend.

I have the metz's... they are nice, warm up quick and work well for my taste... though all i have to compare them to is the michilan mac's that came on the bike.
