Looks pretty cool! I've done lots of searches for handlebars, but have never heard of LSL bars. Who did you get them through?

They look flatter than stock in the pic. How much lower are they? What's different about the triple clamp?

Cool, Thanks. After checking the link, I do remember those bars from my earlier searches - I had seen that same site.

I see a damper in the picture! Good show. The bars look really w i d e . Are they, or is it just my warped perspective?

I hope it's OK to drag this back to the top as this mod' is on my list of things to do but was posted before I signed up. The standard S4 'bars don't suit me, too much weight on them and not enough pullback. I had wondered if there was a simple fix like putting on ST4 'bars, then I put in a search and Strati said that you could put on a top yolk from a normal 'barred monster but some bodging would be required to fit all the other cockpit parts. I noticed the lack of fairing on Oneduc's bike but I would like to retain all the original front end but have a riding position the same as my old '97 m900.

THINGYPIT? THINGYBLOODYPIT? What the fcuk is that all about? Do pilots sit in a thingypit? No, they sit in a c*ckpit. This is political correctness gone too far when you can't use the correct word in the correct context. I wondered why the (perfectly innocent Scottish vernacular) word sh*ttock I inserted in a previous post came out as nutlock. Jings Geordie, can someone explain this one to me?

Easy, johny....
The YaBB 'censor' is pretty simple minded, it just looks for certain strings of letters.

I wasn't happy with the stock bars on my S4 either. I got a set of CycleCat bars:

They're about 1" higher than the stock bars. You can adjust the pullback as much as you want, you can adjust the 'droop' and height to a small degree.

You can check 'em out here:
http://cyclecat.com/dbr23-1.htm

And you can buy 'em here:
http://www.ca-cycleworks.com/shop/catalog/ducati/chassis.html

They are by no means cheap, but the workmanship is top drawer.

Make sure you check tank clearance at full lock.
They take up a little more space than the stockers, depending on how you have them adjusted.

johnypebs on the picture of my bike i have the w/s off at the time of the picture but it's back on now . only two screws hold the w/s on . the bars i have are from lsl and cost around 300 bucks . the fit and finish is truly first rate . you have a little movement forward an backward , tha bars have a nice gold finish and may be just a little wider than stock. i had a look at the s4r and that what gave me the idea to change the bars . the result is great looks and feel . i don't know why it took so long to do

Thanks guys I've got the message now, drop the v*wel not the b*llock.
I'll have to weigh up the cost / function options but I'll probably get another top yoke and fit a pair of Renthal road bars, bodging as required.
