Looks like I need to post here before I can ask questions on the Ducatis.

Just sold my supermoto and looking for a street V-twin. Undecided between the Monster 796 love the looks, better seat, swingarm and price
Monster 1100 (s) Love the more power and ohlins forks
Multistrada touring- comfort, wind protection, 150hp, and no more backpacks!

I've been riding for 15 years so far. My bike progression has been:

'89 Honda Hawk 650GT
'98 Honda Superhawk VTR1000F (10 years and 27k miles before totalling it on a deer!)
'07 Harley Nightrod (only had for 181 miles and 3 weeks)
'08 BMW R1200S
'08 KTM 690 SMC

Howzit Bruddah!!

I have an 1100, and recently rode the Multistrada on a demo day. You really need to ride them because they are extremely different bikes. The wind at 75 is going to be no worse on the Monster than any other naked style bike, in other words, it will tire you a bit. The Multistrada is a beauty to ride and will carve with any of the other litre bikes out there. I was VERY impressed with it and it is more intriguing in person. The one I was on was black and freshly cleaned up. It was quite striking.
