Okay here goes. First post, happy to have found the board after much searching....seems like great resource.

My current situation:

34 years old, 6'0 165lbs, so california.
current ride: 190cc Derbi Boulevard Scooter (6months)

Moving to Tokyo in approx 2 years time.
Want to step up to a 620 Dark to enjoy and explore riding more, while still in sunny so cal.

I walk to work so Duc will not be ridden tons of miles, but when i do it will probably be significant...unless for quick short trips.

Sooo, I imagine within the first 2 years the warrant will cover most things, but aside from that what maintenance would be required if any--or am I looking at a situation where I can just enjoy it for the time I have it.

I thought as well that the resale would be better too...after only owning for a few years time with low miles...

Last question...

My local dealer (Brea, CA) has a 2002 620 Dark (5995$--maybe lower dealer says)...What would be a good price to offer him, and should I get a 2003 instead? Anything major wrong with the 2002 that I should be aware of?
