I actually enjoyed the entire issue. I was luke warm about Dan Walsh initially, but he really won me over in this issue. I haven't enjoyed a complete magazine like this one in a very long time. Even if you've given up on U.S. mags, go pic this one up. [thumbsup]

Yep..thought of posting this same thread myself. I really enjoyed it. Did you guys checked the mods. done on their project 620 in a limited "budget".(according to them at least ) Later....

I spent sometime trying to find out what the new magazine was called (or a link) until I realised you were talking about a new (latest) issue of the old 'Motorcyclist' magazine.

While all the Ducati content is indeed awesome, I have to say that for me...as a fan of fine motojournalism.........the best aspect of the latest issue has to be...............................................................................the return of Gina.

I didn't realize until I got to my mailbox today that they sent this issue out to new owners. That was pretty cool of Ducati.

The latest issue reviews the 1098 and they say it has a 190/55 rear tire, the widest Ducati has ever fitted. This same statement is also on the Ducati web site. While that statement is true, a 190/55 is the same width as the 190/50 fitted to the 999/998/996/916. So, yes it is the widest, but no it is not any wider than before. The aspect ratio is higher so the tire will have more sidewall, but the section width is the same.

Maybe I need to go outside too.

It was the 6" rear wheel on the 1098 they were referring to- the largest on a Ducati and now on par with the Japanese open class sportbikes..

The 999 had a 190 spooned onto a 5.5" wheel.

yeah that custonized Sport Classic was pretty sick. I also liked that article "On the Run; Ooh La La". I'm sure next month though there will be some people writing in about how the first paragraph offended them or whatever. I was actually a little suprised at his frankness on the subject of the cocaine business going on down there. Wonder if he's gonna get into some trouble....

I don't like Motorcyclist or any of the local motorcycle mags but i had to read this issue so i bought one yesterday. Then today the mailman hands me the same Motorcyclist issue from Ducati.
