The used M900 that I bought this summer came with the wrong battery in it and I've replaced it. The battery that was in it is a new Ducati Motor (GS) sealed "valve regulated" type and is in great shape. I'm not sure how to ship a battery (drain it?), but we can work something out. The model number is GT12B-4. I have no idea what Ducati model(s) it fits, but it doesn't fit a 97 Monster 900. Contact me at [email protected] if you're interested and make me an offer. It's either sell it or return it to the store for my core charge ($5). I'm thinking it would cost $100 at the dealer, so here's your chance to pick up a new battery for a song. . .

I don't know what you been smokin', but stop it! I read through the entire string of posts you linked me to and I can't find anything about THIS battery. In fact the sealed batteries are touted as being the solution to the "leaking battery" problem and THIS IS A SEALED BATTERY. It's somewhat smaller than the Monster battery box (length-wise) and the terminals are on the forward side of the battery, opposite of where they should be for a Monster, at least the older ones. It probably fits one of the Ducati sport bikes (?). So, I feel okay about selling it to anyone who wants a new battery for pennies on the dollar.
