I think Alex O does custom machining. Tell him I said hi - he doesn't like me much.

Just a quick note but I'm sure you know this. The axle spacers in this drawing only apply to the K3 forks and axles. I've done the conversion using the K5/K6 forks and the axle spacers are definitely different.

Do you have the measurements for yours? And were the rotor spacers the same?
I did the following to make everything line up...

2005/2006 (K5/K6) GSXR1000 Fork Swap (on S2R1000):
Left Axle Spacer : 0.5675"
Right Axle Spacer: 0.6625"
Brake Rotor Spacer : 0.197" (5mm)
Caliper Spacers : 0.197" (5mm)

Also will need longer brake lines.

Good Luck.

Great! Thank you for the measurements. I've ordered all the parts I should need and I found someone to make the rotor spacers for me. I should be able to make all of the other spacers myself.

which rotors did you used.
2007 S2R1000 rotors with 5mm spacers. I also sourced Yamaha rotor bolts from a YZF600 since they are exactly 5mm longer to regain thread enagement length

However, I've also heard that the 748R rotors have 15mm offset and might work without spacers for this application. My application works so I haven't had reason to investigate further.

great conversion, but why dont you guys just swap the ducati staunctions onto the suzi fork legs?

has anyone heard of this being done? can you swap them between bikes?

Ive just fitted a CBR1000rr set of forks & triples to a 998 s4r monster.
I hoped to keep the brembos on the bike so just hoped to swap the staunctions.
the CBR does have a 25mm offset though, so it may be a bit too severe.

for the triples I just had to make up a spacer for the bearing. still retained the original bearings but with some swapping between the two.

Friend of mine put a GSXR front end on a Harley Sportster so I'm sure this can be done easily.

He had the rear wheel and sprocket powdercoated black after this pic was taken.
