I just received my new dark smoke visor in the mail and I need to install it.
But how do you achieve that without busting it all up? I cannot seem to find the trick to get the old visor off.

Rob, just pry off the side-covers with your fingers... they snap into place... they sound loud when the come off...

once the sidecovers are off, turn the collars on the posts backwards 1/4 of a turn on each side then pull them off...

pull the visor off and replace with the new one.

put back the collars and turn them forward 1/4 turn.

replace the side-covers and press into place. be sure to match the posts on the sidecovers to the respective insert-holes. They snap into place.

STOP. If you've got a Spec1R do not try to pry the covers off, there's a spring loaded catch under each of the side covers that needs to be pushed to the rear to release the cover. If it's a Gunwind I can't help. Which is it?

I will give that a try, usually when you think that's how it works you end up with something broken in your hand...That's why it doesn't hurt to ask.

I tried to use Suomy's website but found no instructions, so Thanks.

make sure when you put the side covers back on, they "snap" in. one side of mine blew off during a ride. i had to order a new one.

THANKS for the heads up "Hall" I think my Duccati Corse would look funny with one side gone, not to mention the loud noise from it not being as aero dynamic as before...

You guys that have Gunwinds might want to stock up on shields. Gunwinds are discontinued by Suomy.

thanks for the update on the shields! I'll have to get lots of them!

btw, I got a Suomy CD with my Gunwind that had shield installation instructions on it. I'll have to see if I can dig it up (may have gotten rid of it). If I can find it, I'll see if I can pull the video off and either put it on the net or email it to whoever needs it.
