I've been using these for quite a while, thought I should share...



You can see that my regulator/rectifier gets up to a toasty 190 degF, and I haven't had that strip on there in hot weather riding..:-/
They're not reversible, so they only tell you the maximum temperature, but quite often that's all you want.

They've even got some reversible ones, like for aquariums, but they don't go very high.

so are you saying that being non-reversible they do not change back to the original color?

once they change color they change color for good..so it is a MAX temp reading?....

just showing how high it has ever gotten?

You are correct, sir.

Meant to put it in the first thread, but McMaster-Carr has these Temperature Indicating Labels in ranges that start as low as 100 degF, and end as high as 554 degF.

The reversible versions range from -22 degF to 194 degF.
