After months of waiting. I finally got my S4R. I rode 50 miles today leading demo rides in Scranton. I would have liked to ride more, but after working the midnight shift last night, it did not seem like a good idea. I got to ride a 750, S4 and then my S4R. The difference between the S4R and S4 was like the difference between the S4 and 750. What a kick in the pants.

AM Pipes. I am patiently waitng for 2 things. 1. A PCIII that is officially released for the S4R. SO I know it will run right. 2. A pipe that looks goods. So far the Arrow system is my favorite. But as soon as I get the PCIII, I am sending the stock pipe off to strati. I want to see what he can do for now. I think I will be happy with his work for a season or so until the real pipes come out. My dealer wants to use my bike in the NYC bikes show. SO I want it just right. Strati's work with the cropped tail will give it that stubby small naked look I want. THe good news is my dealer will spot me all the parts I plan to buy in exchange for letting the bike be in the show. So I guess I will be in debt soon. But my bike will look cool....

Hey Dennis, beautiful ride!

So who's going to take the picture of you draggin' your knee around some racetrack?
That is a very good question. I am going to take it to VIR with me. I will try to get my friend Dave to come. He shoots with me sometimes. Normally my step son would, but he has school on the VIR weekend.

Wow, the difference between the S4 and S4R was that pronounced? That's kind of a bummer to hear, as I just got the S4. How was it different? Just a lot more punch?

Yeah, I'm really surprised at your opinion of the difference between S4 and S4R.

I haven't tested the S4R, but was hoping for less dramatics than that....I was hoping NOT to be envious.....

Congrats and good riding...

Good points. Fair enough. I'd be excited too!

I found that the S4 required some (not much ) to get the wheel off the ground. My S4R had 8 miles on it and I was babying it, when the front pointed at the sky at around 4000 rpm and a quick grab of throttle. I rode the 2 bikes back to back. THe S4 was broken in. Mine was not. I can only say that up to 5500 rpm the bike pulled much harder and smoother.
Yes, I am enthusiastic. But there is a reasonable difference.
