Psssst... hint is to disconnect the blinkers. Just unplug it from you point of preference.
The tail light cover off a <gulp> buell will fit the Monster housing. And, it comes with a clear window on the bottom to shine on the plate. They're actually manufactured by the same company (Italian).zooom said:zip a lil hole in the bottom of the tailite lens so it shines onto the plate and insert a piece of plastic or something to keep debris from getting in there and you should be golden!....I know there are some manufacturers out there who use a clear bottom of the tailite to illuminate the tag!
I haven't found one that has the motorcycle stickers.monarc said:take it to a gas station, not a motorcycle shop. i've usually never had a problem...
i wasn't trying to get around anything. Just posting my experience. I figured the brake light was enough to light the plate. And also, I never knew there was a reflector requirment or that the blinkers had to be 9 inches apart.jwbowen said:Sorry to rain on the endless parade of ways to get around inspection problems, but consider the following:

Ya, I got a lot of questions for them. What pisses me off is that I didn't even get a chance to talk with the inspector. Now I got a failed sticker when at least one of the items could have been fixed on the spot. I can't prove it and I really don't want to dig but I bet he said I needed reflectors because my blinkers were in violation. They said I would have passed if I had the reflectors and plate lights even though the blinkers were an obvious violation that they made a point to make me a aware of.jwbowen said:My comments were not directed at you personally. If it were me, prior to the next inspection I'd ask the inspector where the requirement for reflectors comes from -- in a non-aggressive way, of course. Maybe I missed something in the regs, or it's a brand-new requirement, or something else. That would be good for all of us to know.
