Anyone attending this event. I spoke with Ducati and they said they are working out the details for Ducati Island.

I am planning to attend next year 2019. Will be driving from Dallas on a 1999 M900. I have been every year, but next year will be my first with the bike. I'll try to remember this post five months from now, would be cool to ride down in a group. Any idea why Ducati island was set up outside the track? I've been to Indy, Laguna Seca, and COTA was the only one where the island was set up outside the track.

Brian to answer your question about Ducati Island being sent to the back of the line last year, that's what COTA wanted. It was a bit shitty of them. I much preferred it the years it was up at the fountain.

I've never missed the races but I have a friend that owns a row of seats in the grand stands and gives me the extras to the bike races as he and his friends are all there for F1.

I'll be riding down from KC again this year (4th time) to volunteer as a track marshal. Great way to be track side and actually get your hands on the bikes. Marquez crashed in my corner last year during qualifying. I actually got to speak with him for half a second (before he dashed off to get his second bike) and picked up his bike and drug it out of the trap. Awesome!!

I was sitting in the turn 15 bleachers watching that. I guess I saw you there last year.

Probably. I was the guy with the headset. I'll wave next year.

I was able to pull footage from Marquez' tail cam off Motogp.com. Hope the link works. Marquez was picking his bike up before we were able to get out to him. It took him about 5 seconds to realize his bike wasn't going back on the track, and he sprinted off.

Edit: Looks like you may need a Dropbox account to view the video. If someone knows a better way to post this, let me know.
