Overweight?

I was told once you gain 5 HP for every 12 lbs you lose. Not sure if it's true but at least I'm healthier now [laugh]

Have you removed your emmission cannister, stratified your pipes, and opened your airbox, and had the air mix adjusted on it?

If you search the site you'll see various discussions about the strati pipes and opened airbox. As I recall it's supposed to gain something like 9 or 12 HP . . . Anyone . . . anyone?

and the last resort is to get the bore kit from Ducati but that is about a grand per HP increase and isn't worh it

follow 1-7 and you can hang with the 800's

anything more and you will need a new bike

GBs 750 is ie.

1&2 don't increase hp.
3,4 and 5 have to be done together to increase hp.
6 - see 1&2.
7 only maintains what's already there.


However, 1,2 and 6 will make the bike quicker, and feel torquier. Those are you best bang for the buck.

After that, fuel system upgrades (3-5) should net you modest gains.

After that, further weight reduction (wheels) but bang for buck is getting stretched here.

And then, internals work - porting heads, bumping displacement, cams, etc.

If you wanna get anal, I think you'll have to wait until GB comes back for a visit.
HP is a unit of measurement for ... you guessed it: power.

I still say nitrous is the answer.

the question isn't "help me get more torque," or, "I need more real world torque," but rather,
"I need more power."

F that Strati guy! He hosed me for $250.00 I'd like to break is arm.

I chopped and cored my own cans. They turned out really nice. If you go that route, buy a cheap set off ebay and I'll mode them for you. They sound awesome!

I used his directions and did it myself. And yes they sound GREAT!!!!
